World-First with Premron CHS at Underground Coal Mine
A world-first at Kestrel Coal Mine with Premron CHS.
In a world-first, Central Queensland underground coal mine will haul coal without the use of Shuttle cars. As a result, this will make the industry safer and more productive. The CHS system is a trolley tram system on a roof-mounted monorail and fitted with Premrons enclosed belt system. After five years of testing prototypes at Premron Pty Ltd has implemented its Continuous Haulage System at Kestrel Coal near Emerald. By removing the use of shuttle cars, the coal mine will be provided with safe and continuous coal haulage. The project will generate jobs jobs, including the manufacture and servicing of the machinery from Ausino’s Workshop facility in Gladstone, Central Queensland.
